I’m tired of my tennis shoes being constantly untied, and it doesn’t matter if you tie the knots well or double knot because it seems that they are made of a material that slides well so that the knot unravels. A few years ago one of my friends gave me some tennis shoes that did not have laces, instead of the usual classic laces they had an elastic cord in each one that you could adjust to your size and I have to say that they have never come loose and they are some You are extremely comfortable as you do not have to untie them to be able to put them on and take them off.

I think this kind of laces are used a lot nowadays for the sports shoes of many runners who prefer to be sure that their sports shoes are never going to untie during the test in which they are competing, and nobody likes to lose in a sport because your laces have come undone and you have had to stop to tie them. The other day without going any further, I found elastic laces in a sports store and I put them on some tennis shoes that I already had and they have made the tennis shoes even more comfortable than before with the laces.

I definitely think that these kinds of laces are much better because as long as the elastic of the lacing lasts, it logically does not have an eternal useful life. But it must be said that they are laces that last quite a long time, they last a few years but we must be careful when it is time to change them so that they do not break when we are running and we have to leave it for another day.

After having tried this kind of elastic laces, I no longer think that I will switch back to the classic laces that are continually being untied. Before using those laces again, I would even prefer the classic velcro tennis shoes that our mothers used to wear when we were children and we did not know how to tie the laces. I really liked those sneakers because it didn’t take long to put them on and they were quite durable since the velcro takes a long time to wear out.
